NOTD: Essie's "Limo-scene"

Natural light, 3 coats.

Look at all the colours in that! Gorgeous :)
Today's nail of the day is a lovely pink nude colour from Essie. Since the colour is very natural looking, I decided to do a "bling" nail, and coated it in some loose iridescent and chunky glitter. I don't have a chunky enough glitter polish, and I love the way that this looks, draws quite a bit of attention to the hands. The only problem working with loose glitter is it's quite messy and can easily stick to the other tacky nails, but with enough patience it can be done :)

Would you wear it? xx

REVIEW: Body Shop "Radiant Highlighter"

When I was staying with my aunt in Edmonton last summer, we visited the West Edmonton Mall multiple times for lots of shopping! For those of you who don't know, it's a massive mall: largest in North America and 5th largest in the world! It has a roller coaster and water park in it (look it up, not even kidding!)
Anyways, we popped into the Body Shop and went on a major shopping spree, and I purchased this little baby.

It's a liquid illuminator that works beautifully on the apples of your cheeks or on your collarbone if you're going out at night.  I put a little tiny amount on the apples of my cheeks each day (literally a pea size between both sides) and it gives a really dewy look! It's nice on the day where time isn't cooperating with you and you need to quickly give your face a bit of a wake up. I'll show you how it applies...

Before applying any product.

A pea size amount applied.

With flash (you can see the shimmer a bit more clearly)
Without flash :)

Pretty, right!? If I remember correctly, this tube sells for $14, which may seem a little expensive but for 25mL of product, it's really not asking a lot. I have been using this daily for close to a year now , and it doesn't even look like I've used at all!
This is sold in an identical formulation but in more bronzed colours (as well as this pink colour I have), perfect for summer, no? ;) I think it would look beautiful on all skin tones!
You can purchase this here:

Would you buy it? xx

NOTD: Sally Hansen's "Snappy Sorbet"

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that coral is a necessity for the spring/summer of 2011.  Although I'm still not brave enough to rock the neon coral lips, I am definitely willing to try this trend out on my nails!
The colour payoff is extremely good, this is a mere 2 coats with just a quick swipe of my OPI top coat on top, and I'd say it looks pretty good. The "Insta-Dry" claim really sticks truth to its name, by the time all my nails were coated, the first 5 were already 100% dry!
Today: coral nails. Tomorrow: perhaps coral lips? Baby steps Jayne, baby steps...

Two coats, natural light.

My latest wish list...

1) Sleeveless Lace Chiffon Dress, American Apparel
http://www.americanapparel.com/rsacf300.html?cid=29&c=Tan
How pretty is this!? It looks completely comfortable, and gives you the most effortless and pretty look. With a skinny black belt like how it's paired with in the photo, some delicate gold jewelry, and some brown gladiator sandals, it's a summer must for me!

2) MAC Crème Cup Lipstick
http://cosmeticforwoman.blogspot.com/2010/12/mac-lipstick-creme-cup.html
So many girls consider this a staple nude in their makeup collection, which guarantees it's a classic shade that matches and works with a variety of skin tones. I'm pretty fair and I'd love to have a wearable nude colour for school especially, so next time I'm at MAC, I'm not sure if I'll be able to resist....

3) MAC Boy Bait Crème Sheen Glass
https://www.blogger.com/blogin.g?blogspotURL=http%3A%2F%2Fbeautyswatch.blogspot.com%2F2009_11_01_archive.html
Most lovely pinky nude colour, and the Crème Sheen formulation is my absolute favourite from MAC. Would be perfect over Crème Cup, would be perfect on it's own, is there anything else that needs to be said?

4) Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder
http://www.collegefashion.net/beauty-and-hair/cfs-top-10-summer-beauty-must-haves/
I'm sure this is not a foreign bronzer to any of you, it seems that pretty much everyone has used it or tried it or is (like me) sitting, waiting, and wishing they owned it  For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, it gives you the most beautiful matte bronzed look. I've tried it against multiple bronzers, including the famous NARS Laguna, but this still reigns supreme. I love the look of a matte face, since I have slightly oily skin a shimmery bronzed face sometimes doesn't look so hot. My friend left hers at my house last week, and it was a depressing day when I had to give it back.

So there we go, if only my wallet was as understanding as my need for makeup and clothing is. What's on your wish list? :) xx
